We had major issues with our new build when we moved in and had real concerns about the quality of build we had purchased. We decided to use Snag Right to carry out a full survey of our house and they found issues with garden drainage, windows not properly sealed and noted that our attic was not fully insulated. Various leaks were discovered and 2 of our radiators were not working. All in all they found over 100 issues in the house. We also paid for the follow up survey so that they would return to check over everything once our house builder had completed the snagging – unsurprisingly, not everything has been fixed so the house builder came back again. So glad we brought Snag Right in. Our advice is get your new build inspected by a professional to ensure everything is right.
We were a bit reluctant to pay for a professional company to come in and snag our house due to the cost but thank goodness we did! We kept finding things that were broken or not working properly when we moved in but didn’t really know what was considered as normal snagging. We decided to get Snag Right in for peace of mind more than anything and they found nearly 150 things that were not right! The report they gave us was very detailed but easy for someone with no real knowledge of construction to understand. The Site Manager didn’t look very pleased about us bringing in a professional snagging company but it definitely got a reaction and everything was fixed with in a couple of weeks. We have recommended Snag Right to lots of people in our estate now and they too are having surveys done.
The survey from Snag Right was money well spent. We had many snags in our new house and the time it took to get these fixed was ridiculous! Snag Right came in and spent around 3 hours going through our house with a fine tooth comb and found over 120 snags! To our horror there was pipe work leaking below the bath. God know what damage that would have caused if it hadn’t been found by the Snag Right inspector. Amazingly, our house builder was in to fix everything as soon as we gave them a copy of our snag report – our thanks to Snag Right
